What happens if I stop hunting monsters or switch off the screen for a while and restart my hunt later?

If you pause your hunt for less than 3 minutes PokeFits continues the last session from where you stopped it and shows this as one session in the list.

Can I use PokeFit also when driving?

You can, but as PokeFit is a fitness tracker for hunting pocket monsters while walking or running it does not calculate steps or calories nor does it show your positions on the map when you move faster than 15km/h (9.3mph).

Why does the map show a straight line between two distant points instead of the driven route in between?

PokeFit is a fitness tracker for hunting pocket monsters while walking or running. It does not calculate steps or calories nor does it show your positions when you move faster than 15km/h (9.3mph).

How are the distance and the steps count tracked and what are the limitations?

In order to track your workout properly our App needs at least  “GPS location” enabled and a clean GPS signal. Additionally we count up to a speed of 15 km/h (9.3mph) which is round about the speed limit of “Pokemon GO” for hatching eggs.

Where do I find the battery drain or the data usage of my “PokeFit” session?

You can find them at the bottom of the detailed summary screen. Just click on a session to switch to the detailed summary screen.

The overlay stays visible even when not hunting monsters or when using another app. How can I avoid that?

We know that in some rare cases the overlay does not disappear when you stop or pause your monster hunt. Simply switch off and on your screen and it should be gone. If you observe the same problem after one of the following hunting sessions again, please use this as an opportunity to restart your phone.

How can I set the position of the overlay screen?

That’s easy. Just drag the overlay to any position you like.

Can I remove a single session from the history?

Yes, you can. Do a long tap on the particular entry in the session history list until you are asked for your confirmation to delete this session from the list.

Does the App manipulate the “Pokemon Go” App or communicate with Niantic servers?

No it doesn’t. PokeFit does not use any products or services from Niantic.  In particular, it does not access any devices, servers or any other properties or services from Niantic.
